SChool Advisory Council
The Our Lady Help of Christians Parish Primary School Advisory Council was established to bring together in a formal way all the important parties connected with the school.
The representative structure of the School Advisory Council (SAC) provides a way in which responsible decisions can be made and responsible, informed advice given to the Parish Priest and Principal. The SAC is entrusted with the duty of planning, on behalf of the school community, with the school staff (through the Principal and SAC Staff Rep.), to meet the present and future needs of the students. The SAC meets twice a term, eight times a year, in its capacity to provide informed advice to the Principal on the running of the school. The basic functions of the SAC are to provide parental input and informed advice to the Principal and Parish Priest in the administration of the school, specifically in the following areas:
Meetings are held on a Wednesday evening, with 5 meetings each year. |
